Graduation time is upon us. Young men and women toss their caps into the air with shouts of joy. We clap and cheer their achievements, and ask them about future plans. Jesus’ ascension into heaven 40 days after his resurrection was, for him, a graduation day of sorts. As modern-day disciples of Jesus, we praise him for the salvation he won for us through his time on earth. We also rejoice that our future is securely with him, as he reigns over us and all creation for our benefit!
