Who We Are
We are a part of an association of churches called the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
We are a Christian, Trinitarian church (see below) centered in Christ and the doctrine of salvation by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
We understand that people have questions and are seeking answers about God and faith. Our hope is that we can be a place that helps you find those answers. Whether you are a mature Christian, new believer, or one seeking answers please come, hear, and partake of the activities of the church.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT…
God
We believe in one God who is the Creator and Lord of all. He is infinitely perfect and eternally exists in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This faith is summarized and confessed in the three ecumenical creeds – the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man, the redemption of humanity and creation.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered and died on a cross as the sacrifice for our sins.
By the power of the Father, he miraculously rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father as the only mediator between God and people.
We believe that he will come again at the end of this age to usher in his eternal, heavenly kingdom. There will be eternal life for all who have believed in Christ but eternal death for all who have not.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active among us today.
He is not merely a force or power but the Third Person of the Trinity who is at work to convict people when they have done wrong and create the desire for forgiveness and faith in Jesus Christ.
He regenerates our hearts and lives within us.
His ongoing work is to guide, instruct and empower the believer to godly living.
Humanity
We believe that people were created in the image of God for a loving relationship with him. People, however, have rebelled against God, passively and actively, choosing to go their own independent way.
We are therefore alienated from God and suffer the corruption of our nature because of sin.
Salvation
We believe that Jesus willingly took our sinfulness upon Himself and died the death we deserved. He died in our place taking our punishment on himself so that we might have our relationship with God restored. We are saved only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) have been given to humanity and that the Bible originated with God.
He inspired the writers to record what He gave them so the Bible is the very Word of God.
The Bible is the means the Holy Spirit uses to create, sustain and nurture faith.
It is our guide both to knowing God in a deep and intimate way and for godly living.
The Church
We believe that the church is the body of believers. It is made of flesh and blood, and not concrete and steel.
It consists of those that have been connected to Jesus Christ and depend on his life, death, and resurrection as their only means to be connected to the one true living God.
It is a community of believers holding to the faith passed down as expressed in the Creeds.
The church, as a community, is called to go out into the world to connect people to Jesus as he lives through their transformed lives.
The church is a community of people, created in Christ, to love God and to love their neighbor as themselves; a community of people extending the same love and forgiveness God first extended to them.
The Sacraments
We believe that God has given us Baptism, Communion and Confession/ Absolution (Forgiveness) as a tangible means to pass on his love and forgiveness as we received it through Jesus Christ.
Baptism
We believe that in Baptism God adopts us as his children. He unites us to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We become children given the full love and forgiveness of God; children given new and transformed lives. (Romans 6, Titus 3:5-8)
Baptism is not just plain water, but it is the water included in God’s command and combined with God’s word. (Matthew 28:19) It works forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare. (Mark 16:16).
Confession & Absolution (Forgiveness)
We believe that when we confess our sins God, who is loving, faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness because of, and through, his Son Jesus.
Communion
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and to drink.
How Christ’s body and blood are truly and physically present in this sacrament under the bread and wine is a mystery accepted by faith.
The benefits of this sacrament are forgiveness, life, and salvation as Christ’s words convey, “Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of your sins.” All who believe these words receive what they say.
This is a meal given to Christ’s family, the church, for forgiveness and the nurturing of faith. Those who are his children and desire what it promises ought to partake. However, those who do not believe in Christ as their Savior (as stated above) or doubt these words ought not partake of this meal for it can only be to their own judgment.
