How much of life is spent waiting — hours, days, even years? Today’s Gospel tells us about a woman who spent 12 years waiting to be healed of her disease. Meanwhile a desperate father waited for Jesus to come and heal his sick daughter, until he thought it was too late and time had run out! “Don’t be afraid; just believe,” Jesus said. Waiting on God is never without purpose; it is time for us to exercise our trust in Him and His plan. “The LORD is good to those who wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:25)
