“Can anything good come from Nazareth?” (John 1:46) Nathanael’s skeptical question about Jesus sounds a lot like some modern attitudes toward the Christian faith. Many people today (including Christians!) have adopted a cynical view of their lives that overshadows the gracious and joyous work God is still doing in the world. Equally remarkable is that WE, the members of Christ’s Body (the Church) are His chosen instrument for carrying out that work. Our message to the world? “Come and see!” (John 1:46)
