The usual criterion for greatness is radically challenged by Jesus. Not only the words of Jesus but his life, death, and resurrection demonstrate the greatness which comes through servanthood. His challenge to his people is to display in their lives the same pattern of greatness. What Jesus has called us to demonstrate toward one another is nothing less than the love he has shown to us.
