Voices of faith. Voices of doubt. We hear examples of both in our readings this morning. And sometimes those two opposite voices may spring from the same heart! “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief,” pleads the desperate father of a spiritually afflicted boy (Mark 9). Church is a good place to bring our doubts. Speak them to God. Share them with a Christian friend. Doubts do not disqualify us from God’s grace in the least. But we should not try to bear them alone. “Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the LORD, and rely on his God.” (Isaiah 50)
