As winter approaches and the hours of daylight grow shorter, how much more do we value the light we do have! We can draw a parallel to the Bible’s teaching on these latter days before Christ returns. Paul calls us “children of light, children of the day” and urges us to reflect the light of Christ in our daily living. As the world around us grows darker, groaning under the weight of its sin and brokenness, how precious is the light that God shines on us and through us.
