The Bible’s definition of wisdom is knowing God’s will, trusting His will is good, and (insofar as it applies to our own behavior) doing His will. And thankfully, we don’t have to try and read the mind of God to know what is His will – because He has revealed it to us in Christ. Christ is the wisdom of God (1 Cor 1:24). This is the wisdom sought by King Solomon, which could only come from God, through prayer. This is the wisdom Jesus displayed as a 12-year old boy in Temple. And this is the wisdom we seek as we spend time in God’s Word!
