Today we remember yet another Easter Sunday appearance of Jesus to his disciples – this time on the road to Emmaus. And how does Jesus identify himself? Here it is by his opening of the Scriptures to them so they can see and understand how recent events all happened according to God’s plan. Jesus does the same for us today. He sends his Spirit to open our hearts and ears as we hear and read God’s Word in our worship.
