Big Turnout for Crafts, Carols and Christ

What a delightful and joyous celebration of the Christmas season we had at this year’s “Crafts, Carols and Christ” with the children of St Peter Nursery School! It was a full house, with many families from the school as well as congregation members in attendance.

The activities began with crafts and games in the downstairs Big Room. While some children were coloring snowmen or cutting out hand-tracings for their angel’s wings, others were testing their skill at landing ping pong balls in a box or pinning Rudolph’s nose while blindfolded.

Everyone then made their way into the Sanctuary for more fun. Mrs. Dunbar led Christmas carols while the crowd filed in, then Pastor Jon then gave a Christmas message to the children. The highlight came when the children took center stage for their performance. Mrs. Van Hise read a Christmas story, and Mrs. Dunbar led the entire group in more carols.

The morning was rounded out with socializing and snacks, snacks, snacks upstairs in the Fellowship Hall. (Any parents who need additional noisemakers for their children should contact the church office.)

Thank you to Pastor and Hope Dunbar, Amy Van Hise, Jen Garrow, and all the other volunteers who brought this all together. Thank you also to Lydia and Juliet from the St Peter Confirmation class for helping with the games, and to St Peter youth Jesse and Joe for managing everyone in the Sanctuary.

And a very big thanks to all who came to share in this special time!
