Next Wednesday evening (Jan 29) at 7:30pm, we will continue our study of Colossians. Our focus will be on Colossians 2:16-23. Here, Paul warns the believers in Colossae about those who would pass judgment on their simple faith or try to convince them that faith in Jesus isn’t enough for salvation. Man-made commandments and insistence upon severe forms of self-denial have always been a part of the “self-made” religion that lures people away from God’s Word. What is the appeal of these, and how do they contradict the Gospel of Christ?
